Virtual Concert. This will be broadcast only to people who purchase a ticket and begins at 7pm. They will be granted access to a private link which will be viewable in a web browser. This will not be broadcast on the church social media pages (YouTube, Facebook).

• Saturday, April 24, 2021

Virtual Tribute. This will be broadcast to people who secure a free ticket and begins at 4 pm. Unlike the Virtual Concert, this will also be available on church social media pages (YouTube, Facebook). This will be legacy footage of Pastor and First Lady Russell over their years.

Banquet. This will be a not-to-miss event hosted at the Intercontinental Hotel at the MSP Airport from 6pm - 11pm. There will be socially distanced tables and required mask wearing as you navigate the venue and the ballroom. The color scheme for the banquet will be Black and Gold. It is semi-formal to formal attire.

Sunday Services. This will be broadcast online to people who secure a free ticket. Services will be at 8:30 am, 9:30 am, and 4 pm. This will also be broadcast to church social media pages (YouTube, Facebook). Sunday Services will also be conducted in person at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Minneapolis. No ticket is required to attend in person. COVID guidelines will be in place for in-person attendance.

We have secured a room block at a discounted rate at the Intercontinental Hotel MSP Airport. The rate is $129 for Run of House room per night exclusive of taxes. The block runs from Friday, April 23 - Tuesday, April 27. To book a room within the block, call 877-424-2449 and reference the "Pastor Russell" block. You can also use the online booking tool located here. Reservations will be taken in the block up through April 9, 2021.

The banquet is semi-formal. The colors are black and gold.

Airport

The airport to fly into should your travel include air is Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP). There are two terminals at the airport, Terminal 1 (Main - Lindbergh) and Terminal 2 (Humphrey). Both terminals are connected via Light Rail Transit (LRT). There is no charge to ride between terminals on LRT and it runs every day approximately every 10-15 minutes.

To Hotel

The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The hotel shuttle typically runs every 20 minutes at the top of every hour, but is currently available only on demand by calling 612-725-0505. The hotel no longer offers shuttle service directly to the Mall of America, but does offer shuttle service to the Light Rail Transit station, servicing Mall of America at Terminal 1 and both Minneapolis and St. Paul downtown areas.

To Church

The church is 2 blocks off the Blue Light Rail Transit Line at the 38th Street Station. The church is located at 2600 East 28th Street in Minneapolis. At this time, we do not offer shuttle service. Uber, Lyft, Taxi, and Public Buses are available as well. The church is on the 23 Bus for Metro Transit Public Bus Transportation.
